We have arrived!

We declare...we’ve just made it across the border!

We’ve crossed over the border and we’re in Mexico. One step closer to the place that has inspired and encouraged us to acts of service the last 51 weeks. To be on this trip, our teens have dedicated themselves to selflessly donating time in our own community and congregation. And we have two buses of teens who’ve lived up to the challenge. It’s an inspiring thing...even for those who’ve made this trip countless times with countless teams. Seeing our young people selflessly serve others is a wonderful gift and watching them never gets old. It’s not about this one week. It’s about every week and every place and every opportunity.

Now that we’re in Mexico, most of our cell phones have been turned off and it’s natural for parents who are regularly in contact with their son or daughter to be nervous. Not to worry. Our Father is on the trip with us. In fact, we’ll be catching glimpses of Him all week long and we’ll try to share those glimpses with you

We’ll keep you posted here. If you need to get a message to someone or just want to offer a message of encouragement to your teen, friend, family member or the group, you can make a comment here during the week or email me at neddy824@gmail.com.

Next stop — The City of Children. God is so good.

Safely to San Diego!

The baggage has arrived! Ah...and hopefully all of the teens. (Seriously we counted them before the bags.)

Rest at ease parents, the ever-watchful eye of your youth minister is keeping track of everyone....

Next stop Seaport Village. We’ll let you know next when we’ve successfully crossed the border and are on the buses to The City of Children. Stay tuned.

Thank you for your prayers

We’re all here at BNA and ready to take wing to San Diego. Thank you for all the prayers and support that has brought us this far. Please continue to prayer for our safety and the children and people we will serve. Our prayer is children and staff of The City of Children will be blessed and they will see Jesus in us. In truth, we will be blessed and served by them far more than we give them. God is good. We’ll let you know when we’re safely across the boarder!
