Tuesday Ladies Class -- The art of showing love

The mama's and female staff of The City of Children have a truly sacrificial ministry to the children here. They work six days a week and live here, even though many have homes and family outside the City. The look to the physical, spiritual, educational and emotional needs of a house full of children, many of which have suffered some sort of abuse in their life. They are Christ made flesh, Immanuel, for the children. So it is a very small task for us to give them a few hours of respite during the week and to minister to these ministers with a class all for them led by Cindy Patton. The class features a craft and we watch as the art whisks them away from the challenges of their day. Thank you Cindy for making this a time of blessing, surmounting the barriers of culture, and thank you, too, Deborah Garman for the gift of canvas bags, each embroidered with the name of one of the women here. We're bringing back a room filled with smiles and hugs. We'll be sure and get them to you.
